Dr. Jason Huang grew up in Toronto and majored in Biology at Ryerson University before earning his Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry (NECO) in Boston. At NECO, known for its strong clinical training, he gained diverse experience through rotations in primary care, specialty contact lenses, low vision, binocular vision, and ocular disease clinics.

Dr. Huang is board-certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry (NBEO) and licensed to practice in both the United States and Canada. He is authorized to prescribe and manage ocular conditions with therapeutic pharmaceutical agents. His professional interests include myopia control, where he applies evidence-based strategies to help slow the progression of nearsightedness in children.

Before becoming an optometrist, Dr. Huang was a licensed optician in Toronto. This background gives him a unique expertise in eyewear design, precision lens fitting, frame adjustment, and optical measurements—skills that complement his clinical training and allow him to provide patients with a complete vision care experience.

Outside of practice, Dr. Huang enjoys travelling, spending time with family, and staying active through martial arts. He is passionate about patient education and believes that empowering patients with knowledge leads to better long-term eye health.

Dr. Huang is a member of the College of Optometrists of Ontario, the Ontario Association of Optometrists, and the American Academy of Orthokeratology & Myopia Control.
